I chose this hotel for the swimming pool, but the room was small with some issues like plaster off the wall and a smell of damp. However, it was spotless and comfortable, and the staff and breakfast were great. It could use more cupboard space for clothes though.

Rooms

The room started and ended with a very small size, and there was an overwhelming smell of damp with plaster off the wall at the beginning. Despite this, the room was spotless and comfortable.
Service

The service, however, was excellent and very friendly, which made my stay welcoming. The staff being polite and friendly with good food standards were the greatest asset of the establishment.
Location

The hotel is on the seafront, providing a lovely view over Newquay Bay Area. It's near all amenities and the town center with lots of shops, making it quite convenient.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was a mix; the 'full English' breakfast was quite good and delicious, setting us up for the day. However, some items like the steak sandwich were overpriced and had to be ordered in advance.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities could do with a refresh, especially with more cupboard space for clothes. However, the swimming pool was spotless, adding to the comfort of the stay.

I stayed at the hotel for 6 nights with bed and breakfast. The room was lovely, big, old-fashioned with huge windows overlooking the sea. The view was amazing, and the breakfast was top-notch. However, some service aspects were lacking in warmth and hospitality, like being grudgingly allowed to eat due to busyness. The location was on the edge of town, offering outstanding views over the bay with convenient access to local amenities. The dining experience was delightful with a full buffet and a fantastic choice of hot food every morning.

The hotel had lovely and clean rooms, yet it took some time to find them, which made it feel a bit less clean. The service was very helpful but had a minor issue with overcharging. The location was central with parking available, but looked a little dingy at first glance. The dining experience was well-organized and tasty, although there were some disappointments. Overall, a decent stay with a few minor drawbacks.
